The Healing Garden client base has grown significantly — by 35% in the past two years. Yet our clients still represent only a fraction of the breast cancer patients in the area. We recognize that we must expand our community of supporters to continue serving those affected by breast cancer with the excellence, compassion, and generosity for which The Healing Garden has become known. Attend an Open HouseWe invite you to learn more about how we assist our clients by attending one of our twice-monthly open houses, called Garden Gatherings. You will meet staff, tour the facilities, and hear from a client about her experience at The Healing Garden. If you like what you hear, we encourage you to refer potential clients, and to bring family, friends, and others in your network to a future Garden Gathering. For upcoming dates, please click here. Take A ClassYou may find that a visit to The Healing Garden inspires you to participate in one of our many wellness programs that are open to the public. Offerings include classes and workshops on Nutrition, Garden Therapy, and Yoga. Any fees charged for these programs help sustain and expand the range of programs we can offer to our clients. For a menu and description of our current programs and offerings, please click here. Become A MemberTo receive first notice of upcoming programs, be eligible for discounted program pricing, and underscore your support for our work, please consider becoming a Healing Garden Member. For membership information, please click here. VolunteerIf you, or someone you know, has some time and would like to help The Healing Garden, please consider becoming a volunteer. We can always use extra hands in the garden or office, and at some of our special events. If you have a professional skill such as graphic design, marketing, grant writing, fundraising, or finance, there are volunteer opportunities for projects, regular volunteer hours, or service on board committees. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, or know someone who may be, please click here. MAKE A DONATIONOne easy way to help sustain The Healing Garden is by pledging a recurring, monthly donation. This sustaining type of gift can easily be set up through your employer, bank, or credit card agency. We invite you to introduce The Healing Garden to your church, family foundation, employer, civic organization, or other group you may know that donates to nonprofits. To directly support a family member or friend who is a client, you might consider paying for one or several of our classes, workshops, or therapeutic services, or by purchasing a Healing Garden gift certificate. Another way to support Healing Garden clients is by making a donation to our "Fund A Need" program. It is through Fund A Need that we are able to provide services to those clients who, because of the financial impact of their cancer care, are unable to meet our sliding scale fee structure. Fund A Need supports nearly $650 in client services each month, and without it, many clients would not have access to some of these vital therapies.
