Our Philosophy

The Healing Garden was founded in 2001, with a mission to provide therapeutic services and educational programs in a healing environment to women experiencing breast cancer. In these years since we have opened our doors, we have demonstrated outstanding successful outcomes for our breast cancer clients and proven that these therapeutic services are a valuable resource for all.

In 2012, the Healing Garden Board of Directors unanimously approved a revision to the mission to expand our scope of practice to all people with cancer regardless of diagnosis, gender or financial barriers. Moreover, the Board supports an additional initiative to be on the forefront of global cancer prevention by providing our expertise in therapeutic services and wellness education to the community at large, so that the Garden's unique and remarkable environment will reach as many people as possible, to educate, to empower, to heal and to live well.
